Anonymous strategy researchSimulated trade records are shared by default for aggregate strategy research. No persistent user or browser identifier is attached to research trades. You can turn sharing off anytime and read the full policy under Settings → Privacy.
Your settings and local Trade Log stay in this browser. When research sharing is on, completed simulated trade records and later classification edits are also sent to the anonymous research database.
Privacy & Anonymous Research
Replay Trader is designed to collect useful simulated-trading research without building a profile of who submitted it. Research sharing is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings at any time.
Research records may include
Historical chart date/time, market, contract, timeframe, and trade direction
Entry, stop, target, simulated risk, P/L, R, duration, and outcome
Simulated account settings and higher-timeframe bias
Trade classifications, indicator settings, and trade-management actions
Research records are not designed to include
Name, email, username, social identity, or account login
A persistent contributor, browser, or device identifier
Real brokerage credentials, payment information, or real brokerage account data
Precise location, device fingerprint, or an IP address stored in the research database
How trade updates work
Each contributed trade receives a random identifier for that trade only. It is used so that later edits to the same trade—such as changing classifications—can update that trade's research record. The identifier is not intended to link separate trades to the same person or browser.
Your choice
Research sharing is on by default. Turning it off stops future research submissions while it remains disabled. Clearing your local Trade Log, resetting a simulated account, deleting a local trade, or clearing browser storage does not delete research records that were already contributed. Replay Trader does not provide a user-facing database deletion control.
Purpose & retention
Contributed records may be retained for long-term aggregate and statistical research into simulated trading strategies, setups, market conditions, and simulator performance. Replay Trader does not sell research records or use them for targeted advertising.
Local browser storage
Replay Trader uses browser storage to remember simulator settings, preferences, account bookkeeping, and the local Trade Log. The site does not intentionally use advertising cookies, third-party marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking identifiers.
Cloudflare infrastructure
The website, research API, and database use Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare may process standard technical network information—such as IP addresses, routing data, and request metadata—as necessary to deliver and protect its services. Replay Trader's research database is designed not to store an IP address with a trade. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for Cloudflare's own practices.
Questions & changes
Privacy questions can be directed to the creator through the @_aidan_w link shown in Replay Trader. This notice will be updated if the research data model, service providers, or data practices materially change.
